Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue Update 2nd - 9th September

The last two months have been very productive for re-homing, so productive we are delighted to say SHYLA has been reserved for a new home, she has been in kennels for 9 months, so hopefully everything goes well for her.

We should also take this chance to wish our kennel manager Annabelle a great day on the 10th of September as she walks down the aisle to become Mrs Mantle, have a wonderful day.

STOLEN DOG

This beautiful dog was stolen from Clehonger at appx midnight on 5th September. She was taken by 4 young men in a car. Another dog, a shi tzu was shortly afterwards stolen from Madley, thankfully that little dog has turned up safe and well this morning.

Please keep a look out for her. If you have any information as to the dogs whereabouts please contact us in strictest confidence, she just needs to be back with her rightful owner.

This has had over 1000 shares no Facebook and we are so grateful for your support, lets get her back to her owners!

Dogs Re-homed

First to leave Kennels since the last update was the happy go lucky Tilly, she went on to foster before quickly finding a new home, a gorgeous Staffy x JRT girl with a smile for everyone and a real sweetheart.

Tilly

Lucy was not waiting long for a new home, this gorgeous Collie girl is bright as a button with bags of potential. She has gone off to a Collie experienced owner who will help her reach her potential, there she will also have a new best friend sharing a home with a male Collie whom she was quick to make friends with!

Lucy

Betty the Beagle is a steady older girl and she was just after somewhere to relax and where she could potter around at her own pace. We are delighted she has found a new home to call her own so quickly where she can take it easy.

Betty

You may re-call the handsome young Dalmatian Baxter who was needing a new home, he never went through kennels but through re-home from home, he has now found a new home.

Baxter

Beau, an 18 week old Collie x was not waiting a long time in foster till he made it into his new home. He has quickly settled in and has a wonderful life ahead of him.

If you have been following our social media you will have come across a young pale fawn Collie x who had been handed in by a Simon Jones to a local veterinary practice. This man has been notorious for claiming dogs for free and trying to sell them, but mostly having to end up abandoning them. We are pleased to say he has quickly gone into a new home and after a traumatic couple of weeks for this boy he is safely into a new home. The matter of Simon Jones is now in the hands of Herefordshire Council and we will update more when we can.

New Intakes

Here are the dogs from the pound this week, the first is the lovely but nervous Collie x Jrt, Gracie

She was found in Lower Maescoed a couple of weeks back herding up sheep! After being taken in by a kindly stranger she tried rounding up the cats, the geese the chickens, you know name it she wanted to herd them! She is now at Meadowbank awaiting a new home but is desperate to be out putting her skills to good use.

Gracie

We also have had a little JRT come in called Patches. This little chap has had a very traumatic time over the past few days. Friday he was handed into a local vets as unwanted. Thankfully our friends at Happy Waggers were able to accommodate him over the weekend. He has gone straight into a foster home while he awaits a new home.

Sleeping on the desk!

Though the kennels are quiet at the moment we still have some long stayers. Buddy & Fabian in kennels are waiting patiently for someone to come and meet them and Charlie is still in foster having been with HWAR for nearly a year!
